Dennis D. Puuri, 57, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday December 12, 2018, at home from an apparent heart attack.

 He was born on January 6, 1961, a son of Marie (O’Connor) Puuri and the late Robert Puuri.  Dennis was a graduate of the Houghton High School.

Mr. Puuri started working at the family farm in Liminga and eventually took it over from his parents and operated until 2005.  He then started his own logging business.  For the past year and a half, Dennis made his home at Arbor Green in Houghton.

Dennis loved to spend time with his children and followed the Detroit Tigers, Red Wings and Lions.  He also enjoyed snowmobiling when he was younger and always loved to take a swim in Lake Superior.

Preceding him in death were his father, his brother Mike Puuri and the mother of his children ReNee Marion.

          Kris Wales of Oregon, WI

          Sam (Ami) Puuri of Sheridan, WY

Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins

          As requested, a private family service for Dennis will take place later this spring on the family farm.
